Elyn tient une boutique de fringues vintage, une friperie quoi, à Manhattan, à l'est de Central Park dans l'Upper East Side. En parcourant son compte on comprend qu'Elyn adore la vie, la danse, les soirées culturelles de NYC, la mode et les tenues originales, partiellement rétro. Dès que la pluie tombe sur New York, c'est ses bottes d'équitation Aigle qu'elle enfile pour la journée. Elle les trouve géniales et pratiques et  m'explique qu'elle a fait cette video pour tous les râleurs qui se plaignent de la pluie: "Je trouvais juste que les gens pourraient sourire un peu et se faire plaisir". Elyn est une fille tellement rare et réjouissante que j'espère la revoir un jour dans le blog. Elle incarne la liberté à elle seule.

Mannequin russe de Sibérie, elle monte à Paris défiler pour Lagerfeld, puis s'installe à New York ou elle suit une carrière d'actrice. La voici en juin dernier à New York assistant à la'avant-première du film "The A World" le 28 juin dernier. 28°C et très nuageux ce jour là.

Liv Tyler #2

Quelle beauté cette fille; je lui avais consacré un post en octobre 2011, elle portait des bdc Aigle Ecuyer assez souvent dans les rues de New York où elle vit. Le hasard à nouveau fait que j'ai  découvert de nouvelles photos d'elle, toujours en Aigle, datant d'octobre dernier. Elle y est sublime. Malheureusement les photos sont de formât assez réduit et moins nombreuses par rapport à celles disponibles il y a quatre ans.

What a beauty ! I dedicated a post in october 2011, she was wearing her Aigle Ecuyer rubber riding boots quite often in NYC streets where she lives. By chance again I discovered new pictures of her, always in her Aigle, dating back last october. She is sublime. Unfortunately there are less pics and smaller sized  compared to those available four years ago.

Semaine américaine, après avoir parcouru la Californie avec Bige (d'Istanbul), traversons les Etat-Unis d'Ouest en Est pour rencontrer Kathryn à NYC.

Encore une blogueuse de mode qui a beaucoup voyagé. Kathryn est bien Américaine mais enfant elle a vécu en Arabie Saoudite, puis adolescente en Suisse à Genève, elle vit maintenant à New-York où elle travaille avec son mari dans la photo et le cinéma tant analogiques que numériques.
Ses bottes de cheval, c'est sa mère qui les lui avait achetées à Lyon, pas si loin de la frontière suisse. Il y avait un club équestre près de chez elle et Kathryn voulait faire du cheval. Dans l'article, elle raconte longuement une anecdote à propos de ces bottes de cheval: un jour de pluie, elle, sa soeur et une copine se sont embourbées avec leur bottes dans un chemin particulièrement boueux, au point que Kathryn est rentrée chez elle en chaussette à une jambe, elle est allée récupérer plus tard sa bottes en creusant! Comme elle me l'a écrit, elle peut maintenant porter ses bdc chaque jour de pluie dans les rues de NewYork. Elle ne se souvient pas de la marque mais assure que ça vient d'un magasin de matériel d'équitation.
Son look est tout à fait simple et éfficace. J'ai toujours eu un faible pour les slims gris et les bonnets sur les cheveux longs, et c'est précisément ce qu'elle porte! L'ensemble de son look joue sur les teintes gris/noir et le résultat est réjouissant. Seules touches vives, les gants et l'écharpe. On voit Katrhyn sur la pointe des pieds souriante en train de regarder le bout de ses bottes, et en effet sa tenue a l'air légère et confortable. Et séduisante, si je l'avais croisée dans une rue de New York, je me serais probablement pris un lampadaire! :D En tout cas un look très cool et très fun avec ce bonnet à oreilles.
Kathryn est une jeune fille très jolie et sympathique, elle a aussitôt accepté que je publie un article sur son look. Particularité de "Kitsun-Kun" ("renard" en japonais), dans ses articles elle s'adresse aussi aux garçons car elle a compris qu'ils sont sensibles au look des filles, et s'est probablement pour eux que les filles aiment aussi s'habiller, non? Elle porte des tenues pour tous les goûts au point qu'on ne la reconnait pas toujours d'une tenue à l'autre. Son blog est riche en articles, évoquant un coffee shop branché de Philadelphie ou la plage de NYC où elle prenait hier son premier bain de soleil de l'année avec son nouveau maillot de bain une pièce. Comme à Paris, il y a aussi un air d'été à New York. Egalement des pages commerciales où elle vend ses tenues et propose ses services de photographe. Merci pour tout, Kathryn. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas d'autre look bdc dans le blog, ils auraient certainement été encore réussis.

Here again a fashion blogger who traveled widely. Kathryn is American but as child lived in Saudi Arabia, then as teenager in Switzerland in Geneva, she now lives in New York where she works with her ​​husband in photo and movies creation, both analogue and digital.
Her rubber riding boots, it was her mother who bought them in Lyon in France, not so far from Swiss border. There was an equestrian club near her home and Kathryn wanted to learn to ride. In the article, she tells a long anecdote about these riding boots: on a rainy day, she, her sister and a girlfriend were stuck in the mud with their boots in a particularly muddy path, to the point that Kathryn returned home sockless, she went to back later digging the mud to get her boot! As she wrote, she can now normaly wear her riding boots every rainy day in the streets of New York. She does not remember the brand but assures that it comes from a horse riding equipment store.
The look is quite simple and effective. I always had a weakness for girls in gray skinny jeans and  bonnets on long hair, and that is precisely what she wears! All of it cheeks on the shades gray / black and the result is gratifying. Gloves and scarf are only lively touchs. We see Katrhyn on tiptoe smiling watching the tips of her boots, and indeed her outfit looks lightweight comfort. And attractive, if I crossed a street in New York, I'd probably hit a lamppost! : D In any case a very cool and very fun look with this eared cap.
Kathryn is a lovely girl, she readily agreed that I published an article about her look. Particularity of "Kitsun-Kun"(Fox in japanese), in articles she also addresses to boys because she understood that they are sensitive to the look of the girls, and probably it's for herself and boys too that girls also like dressing , right? She wears outfits for all tastes, so much so that I don't always recognize her. Her blog is rich in articles, referring to a hip coffee shop of Philadelphia or to the beach NYC yesterday where she was taking her first sunbath of the year with her new swimsuit. As in Paris, there is also a taste of summer in New York. Also  commercial pages where she sells her clothes and proposes their services as photographers. Thank you for everything, Kathryn. Too bad there is no other rrb look in the blog, it would certainly have been successful and tastefull again.

"Those riding boots: I am proud to say, did actually see a fair amount of riding whilst I lived in Switzerland. We lived in Geneva, very near the border with France, so we hopped back and forth quite a bit with skiing, shopping, visiting friends, and none other than my equine escapades. My mom found some stables that offered lessons run by a British lady so I wouldn't have to struggle with the language too much I guess....Those are very fond memories. The scenery was beautiful. Taking the horses from the pasture, tacking them up, and riding them through mountain paths was pretty amazing. Those boots were almost gonners. One day it was raining super super hard, and had been all day and as a result all ground that wasn't concrete had turned into a mud quagmire-pseudo-cesspool of earth, rain, straw, horse manure, you name it. I don't remember who started it, but somehow one of us between me, my sister, and friend Christina got stuck in the muddy swampy bit, and the instant suction made it incredibly hard to move. Five minutes later all three of us were completely stuck in the stuff all the way up to our knees and the harder we tried to pull out, the harder the suction pulled and the deeper we sank. At one point I pulled so hard my foot came clear out of my boot and the poor thing became quickly engulfed in the sick mess. Panic stricken at how much trouble I would be in if I came home without a boot, I dug and pulled and dug and pulled. gross, I know. But now I still have these boots to wear when it's rainy:)"

Le jour anniversaire de la mort de John Lennon nous voici à New York sous la pluie pour le look de Sun - la ma nommée ce jour là - jeune et jolie Coréenne très entreprenante installée dans la Grosse Pomme. Sun se qualifie de voyageuse (présente à Londres en ce moment, en novembre à L.A., en juillet en France...), passionnée de mode, photographe amateur. Elle le prouve à travers son blog qui est véritablement soigné, varié, vivant et passionnant.
On l'y voit par exemple participer à une séance de photo professionnelle à L.A. fin novembre, ainsi que son  homard que le producteur lui offrira pour célébrer l'événement. Il faut dire que Sun vend sa propre marque de vêtements sur http://www.misspouty.com/ et par exemple la cape courte et l'écharpe qu'elle porte ici sont des prototypes qu'elle mettra bientot en vente en ligne.
Le style de Sun sur la photo que j'ai choisie colle à 100% avec celui de BDC69. Une silouhette comme j'aime: un slim gris de marque Diesel, un sweat, et des bottes de cheval Aigle Ecuyer. Dans son article qu'elle a d'ailleurs titré "Cuir ou caoutchouc?", elle s'émerveille de la découverte de ces bottes de pluie/équitation qui ont en effet un aspect de cuir sans son inconvénient.
Meme si comme Geff vous n'êtes pas blogueuse de mode vous ne vous ennuierez pas en vous baladant dans ses pages. Merci Miss Pouty!

"Il pleut dehors! Cela signifie que je peux encore porter mes bottes Aigle adorées! Ma soeur et moi les avons trouvées en février dernier chez Jeffray et nous sommes encore étonnées de leur beauté. Lorsque je les ai vues la première fois en photo, j'ai cru que c'était des bottes en cuir, et je n'ai pas osé regarder le prix parce que ce genre de bottes d'équitation vaut cher. Cependant, quand on s'en est approchées ont s'est aperçues qu'elles étaient en caoutchouc et non en cuir. Je me suis alors demandé comment elles pouvaient ressembler à du cuir. Sur le haut de ces bottes au dessin impeccable, il y a à l'itérieur une doublure beige qui font que ces bottes ont l'air en vrai cuir.  Brillant! Comme j'hésitais à les acheter ou pas (Je possédais déjà des bottes de pluie Michael  Kors), ma soeur me chuchota à l'oreille combien elles valaient le coup. Ce qui a emporté ma décision, c'est que le vendeur est venu me dire que c'était la dernière paire en taille 6. Je me souviens après que d'une manière ou d'une autre, je me suis convaincue que cet achat était absolument nécessaire et j'ai quitté le magasin Jeffray avec une impression de victoire. Bien que ce fut tout de même un peu compulsif, je suis vraiment heureuse de les avoir et je suis toute exitée chaque fois qu'il pleut."

Just on John Lennon's death anniversary, we are in New York under rain to value Sun's outfit - missnamed Sun in that day - a pretty young and snappy corean girl installed in Big Apple. Sun qualifies herself as a traveler (she is just now in London, she was in july in France...), passionate about fashion, and an amateur photographer. She proves through her really neat, varied, lively and exciting blog. It reveals for instance her participation in a professional photo shoot in L.A. two weeks ago, as well as the lobster that the producer offered her for lunch to celebrate it! I must say that Sun sells its own brand of clothing  (http://www.misspouty.com/), short cape and scarf she wears here are prototypes that will soon be available online. Pic I chose for my blog sticks 100% to BDC69' style. An ideal look thanks  brand Diesel skinny jeans, a sweatshirt, and Aigle Ecuyer riding boots.  Her titled  article "Leather or rubber?" shows how she marvels at the discovery of these rain/riding boots that indeed look of leather without its downside. Even if you are not a kind of fashionista you may not get bored while strolling through her blog.  Thanks to Miss Pouty!

Sun in her own words about purchasing her Aigle:
"It's raining outside! That means I can wear my beloved Aigle boots again. My sister and I found them last February at Jeffrey's and still amazed how beautifully they are made. When I first saw them in display, I thought they were leather boots and didn't even dare to look at the price tag because that kind of riding boots can be very expensive. However, as we got closer we noticed that they were made out of rubber not leather. But then I wondered, how could they look just like the leather ones? On top of its impeccable design, it also has a beige lining inside that makes the boots look real leather. How brilliant! As I was struggling whether to purchase them or not (I already owned Micheal Kors rain boots at the moment), my sister was whispering into my ears how well made they were, how they looked just like the leather ones and so and so forth. What made the matter worse is the sales clerk came over to me and said they were the last pair in size 6. Next thing I remember is somehow I convinced myself that this purchase was absolutely necessary and walked out of Jeffrey's with a feeling of triumph. Even thought it was a bit compulsive, I'm really happy that I got them and get so excited whenever it rains. One thing though, the more I think about it, my sister tricked me to get the pair so that she could take my old Micheal Kors rain boots.. Oh well, I guess it's a win-win situation here."

Réédition | Semaine à New York avec "E" d'ECT

Sur une suggestion d'"E" dans un commentaire récent, voici la réédition de quelques unes des photos de son séjour à New York en mars 2010. De superbes prises de vue de cette fantastique cité, avec "E" constament en bottes de cheval Le Chameau Alezan 2 jusqu'à son arrivée à Paris. Quate photos, le pont de Brooklin, grille d'aération façon Monroe, ou assise dans l'avion en Alezan tout comme Carole.

"E": "Nous avons eu cinq jours de soleil et avons vu en tout et pour tout dix paires de bottes de caoutchouc (des Hunters , bottines et une paire d' Aigle superbe portée par une italienne que nous avons croisée à plusieurs reprises); les deux derniers jours, heureusement (c' est le comble!!!!) la pluie a fait son apparition, et ce fut une invasion de bottes: des Hunters mais surtout des petites bottes mi mollets, toutes colorées, bariolées , avec ou sans boucles,unies, à pois , à carreaux..... très rigolo. Il faut dire que dès qu' il pleut à New York, il y a des problèmes d' évacuation d' eau et les caniveaux regorgent à chaque croisement. Les New Yorkaises ont trouvé la solution pour garder leurs pieds au sec."

Une fille en bottes de cheval agressée, un black, un latino courageux, deux bouteilles de champagne Veuve Clicquot, et un meme un "jouet" appartenant à la fille, chu à terre, comme le relève un des commentaires de l'article. Je vais tenter de résumer tout cela, "tenter" car meme les NewYorkais ayant lu l'article n'ont pas tout compris de cette rocambolesque agression. Il faut savoir que le blog de Jeremiah est quasiment reconnu d'utilité publique et par les média newyorkais; c'est une tradition aux Etats-Unis de relater tout ce qui va mal dans le voisinage, absurdités, ou insécurité comme ici.

Greenwich Village, un quartier huppé de New-York il y a un mois. En gros un homme noir et très élégant a tenté de dérober le sac à main de cette jeune femme blanche en jupe  à rayures et en bottes de cheval / pluie en caoutchouc, des Burberry à 275 dollars (pas sur du tout) précise le narrateur. Un latino s'interpose et plaque l'agresseur dans une poubelle jusqu'à l'arrivée d'un policier en civil qui passait par là. La femme se met ensuite en rogne contre les policiers venus en renfort lorsqu'ils décident d'emporter avec eux comme pièces à conviction deux bouteilles de Veuve Cliquot semblant pourtant lui appartenir.

Deux jours après la mort de Columbo, BDC69 vous a donc proposé un reportage policier américain dont la victime est une  jeune femme en bdc! Tout y est sur les photos, le champ' et les objets très très personnels de cette femme...

Notez que là-bas on considère ce genre de bottes en caoutchouc directement sous aspect "bottes de pluie", "wellies". Et un grand merci à Jeremiah, auteur de ce blog indispensable là-bas, de m'avoir très rapidement autorisé à utiliser des photos de cet article.

Texte de l'article en VO: "I was walking around the Village with my mother when we heard a loud BOOM and turned around to see this hispanic guy tackling a black guy into a garbage can. Turns out, the black guy had snatched the purse off this white girl in Burberry wellies. (Those are $275 rubber rain boots, in case you and your readers don't know.) The purse snatcher ran into the street with the bag and over the hood of a car that just happened to be driven by an off-duty cop. No joke! The other guy, a good samaritan, then slammed the purse snatcher into the garbage can. They were both lying in the street when the cop jumped out of his car and grabbed the thief. The cop held the purse snatcher on the ground, cuffed him, and called for back up. Weird thing is, the purse snatcher was a rather stylish guy. Skinny jeans! Shoes with no socks! Anyway, he didn't look like the mugger type. Also weird, somehow two bottles of Veuve Clicquot got mixed up in it all. The girl in the Burberry wellies kept moving the bottles of champagne around. Mom and I couldn't figure out if they belonged to her or if the thief stole them from someone else. Anyway, the girl got very irritated when the cop told her she'd have to file a report. She didn't want to be bothered. The good samaritan got a round of applause for his heroics and went on his way. The cops put the champagne in the trunk of their car."

Lexi a accepté que je publie ici une de ses photos extraite de son blog de mode qui aura deux ans cet été et ajoute qu'elle aime BDC69. Elle vit à New York, et vient de remporter hier un Grand Prix dans un concours de création de mode, c'est son métier. Sa passion transpire à travers chacun des articles de son blog. Tous les styles y sont abordés du plus chic au plus relax comme ici dans la l'article que j'ai retenu.

Elle porte avec une évidente décontraction ses hautes Hunter noires avec son jeans noir et un sweater qui laisse voir son nombril. Trois vetements et un look sexy et confortable dans un décor de suite avec du marbre au sol ; ce pourrait être la suite de DSK!
Lexi me précise aussi qu'elle possède une deuxième paire de Hunter: "I have another pair of hunter's newest riding / rubber boot with a wedge, they're much different than the other!" Je pense que ce sont des Hunter Regent.

Lexi has agreed that I post one of her pic taken from her fashion blog that will be two years old this summer. She lives in New York & she yesterday just won a Grand Award in a competition for fashion design, that's her job. Her passion can be felt through every article of her fashion blog. All styles are shown from the most exclusive to the most relaxed like there in the article I selected.
She wears with an obvious relaxation her tall black glossy Hunter boots on black jeans and a sweater that reveals her navel. Three clothes, asexy and comfortable look. She adds that she owns a second pair of Hunter, the newest rubber/riding boots with a wedge, much different than the other. Thank you very much Lexi, and good luck in your job and your blog.
