Nous sommes au bord d'une route dans la partie ouest de l'île. Notre amie Ash, chef d'entreprise et créatrice de foulards et superbes colliers, porte donc à nouveau ses bottes de cheval, de pluie si vous voulez, de marque Aigle. Ash est très inspirée en choisissant de les porter avec ce slim beige et ce t-shirt blanc à manches longues. Elle les porte toujours avec une tenue minimaliste et élégante, et sur elle, ces bottes semblent extrêmement hautes. Dans son pays, Ash reste assurément différente des autres filles! Doesn't seem like on the picture but today is a rainy day on paradise island of Langkawi in Malaysia. We are at the edge of a road in the western part of the island. Our friend Ash, entrepreneur and creator of beautiful scarves and necklaces, so wears again her Aigle rubber riding boots, or her rain boots if you like. Ash is very inspired by choosing to wear them with this cool skinny beige jean and this white long-sleeved t-shirt. She always wears them with a minimalist and elegant outfit, and on her, these boots use to look extremely tall. In her country, Ash certainly remains different from the other girls! Comme elle a l'habitude chaque jour de pluie à Langkawi, son île de Malaisie, elle a enfilé ce matin ses bottes d'équitation Aigle. En faisant un tour dans la campagne environnante elle est tombée nez à nez, si je puis dire, avec un énorme scorpion. Elle m'écrit qu'elle n'a étrangement pas eu peur bien que ce soit la toute première fois qu'elle en voit un en dehors d'un bocal clos. As she's used every rainy day in Langkawi, her island of Malaysia, she put on her Aigle rain/riding rubber boots this morning. While making a walk in the countryside she fell face to face, so to speak, with a huge scorpion. She writes she strangely did not fear it though this is the first time she sees one outside a closed glass box. Adding that she was glad to wear her boots as protection in case! And here they look immense, as seven leagues ones. Skinny blue jean, white t-shirt & rrb: with these basics, Ash is perfect!

Plutôt surprenant de trouver une jolie Malaisienne vivant sur une île paradisiaque, cocotiers et plages de sable blanc, et portant des bottes d'équitation Aigle. Il faut savoir que l'île de Langkawi située à une vingtaine de km au sud de la Thaïlande subit aussi des pluies particulièrement abondantes de juillet à novembre*. On peut donc comprendre cette option choisie pour palier aux ondées et à la boue. Et en plus cela doit protéger les chevilles des moustiques! Des bottes idéales qu'elle a dégotées dans une boutique de vêtements d'occasion. Ash Majid m'écrit qu'elle doit probablement être la seule à en porter. Elle les porte dans le plus pur style BDC69, avec un jean serré, toute la journée, et on peut deviner que son look tranche avec celui de certaines de ses copines qui, elles, portent des foulards ou des turbans, le pays est principalement musulman, et la loi malaisienne n'est pas aussi stricte que dans les autres pays dont cette religion est officielle. La tolérance y est grande, les femmes en short se mélangent à celles portant des grands foulards. Ash a quitté sa ville de Kuala Lumpur, trop trépidante à son goût, pour vivre au calme sur cette île. C'est une jeune maman adorable, et très active puisqu'elle crée de magnifiques colliers qu'elle diffuse dans le monde entier. Son compte Insta est inspiré de sa vie quotidienne, ce qui le rend très plaisant et elle tient également un vlog dont la dernière video est consacrée à ses chères bottes de cheval. Vu la quantité de pluie qui va tomber sur Langkawi, nous devons nous attendre à voir de nombreuses fois la magnifique Ashmajid dans ses bottes de cheval. J'adore son style et sa personnalité, Ash est la fille la plus cool de Malaisie! Je la remercie pour sa collaboration.

Rather surprising to find a pretty malaysian girl living on a paradise island, coconut palms and white sand beaches, and wearing Aigle rubber rain/riding boots. Be aware that Langkawi island, located some twenty kilometers away from south of Thailand, particularly suffers from heavy rainfalls, most from july to november. We can therefore understand this option chosen by Ash Majid to compensate for showers and mud. And in addition it must protect the ankles from mosquitoes! Ideal boots that she found in a thrift store. Ash wrote me that she must probably be the only one to wear them. And she does in BDC69 in true style, with skinny jeans, all day long, and we can guess that her outfit contrasts with some of of her girl friends wearing turbans, scarfs or simple hijab. The country is predominantly muslim, despite everything tolerance is high, malaysian law isn't that strict as in other muslin countries, women in turbans mix with those in shorts. Ashmajid left her city of Kuala Lumpur, she considers too hectic, to move to this peacefull island. She's an adorable young mom, and an active artist and manager since she creates beautiful necklaces she exports worldwide. Her Insta account is inspired by daily life, which makes it very pleasant to follow and she also owns a vlog whose last video is dedicated of course to her rubber riding boots. Considering the amount of rain that will fall on Langkawi, we should expect to see many times our beautiful Ash in her rain boots again.
